INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

International Yoga Day was observed at Pushpalata Vidya Mandir on 21 June 2025. Dr. Prem Chandran, the special guest, spoke about the need to learn Yoga, which strengthens the body and mind, urging the students to follow a nutritious and healthy diet. Asanas such as Surya Namaskaram, Padmasanam, Gopurasanam, Mahamudra, Usattasanam, Phujangasanam, Dhanurasanam, Trikonasanam, Parsava Konasanam, Utkatasanam, Nirna Padasanam were performed by the students. The Director of Pushpalata Schools, Dr. Maragathavalli, the Senior Principal, Mrs. Pushpaveni Ayyappan, the Principal of Matriculation School, Mr. Harrison Jebakumar and teachers participated in the event. Our kindergarten kids observed yoga day by engaging in a guided yoga session, performing asanas, breathing exercises and meditation. The observance of International Yoga Day promoted physical fitness, mental well-being and mindfulness among students.
