Independence Day

The 77^th Independence Day was celebrated in Pushpalata Vidya Mandir on 15^th August 2023.The event started with the Flag hoistedby our Senior Principal, Mrs. Pushpaveni Ayyappan. The parade of the NCC students who marched synchronising with the drum cadences, martial music and the flamboyant commandsspread the spirit of patriotism. Our Senior Principal, in her message, reminded of our nation’s unity in diversity, responsibilities of the citizens to be united in upholding the hard-won freedom, quoting lines from Tagore’s prayer for absolute freedom. The English Speech, the patriotic song and dance instilled the freedom of thought, strength in our convictions and pride in our heritage. The speech in Hindi sparked patriotism in the young minds. ‘Villupattu’- the bow song performed by the students of classes VI-VIII, portraying the freedom fighters of Tamilnadu was the highlight of the day.

It was an inspiring day for the younger generation to strive to be better citizens, cherish diversity, and work towards a prosperous and harmonious nation.
