Annual Sports Meet 2023

Pushpalata Schools observed the Annual Sports Meet on the 27th January, 2023. Dr. Abu Thamby, General Practitioner, Northampton, UK, presided over the event, hoisted the School flag, declared the Sports meet open, lit the Olympic torch and released the pigeons. He addressed the gathering insisting on the need for physical well-being for shaping the future. The drills performed by the Pushpalatans show-cased their teamwork, coordination and cooperation. Tiny tots from grades 1, 2 and 3 performed the Nature drill, kids of Classes 4 and 5 executed Yoga and students from grades 8 and 9 performed the Wings drill which fascinated the spectators. Harvest festivals of India Parade staged by the students of Classes 6, 7 and 8 was the most amazing event of the day highlighting the dances and culture of the five states- TamilNadu, Assam, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal that celebrate Harvest Festivals in India. The eye-catching float entitled ‘My India, My Pride’, depicting our heritage was yet another special feature of the day’s celebrations.
