Cleanliness drive and Eco-friendly bag campaign!

PVM Heartful Community in collaboration with V.M.Chatram Development Trust and the Palluyir Foundation organised Cleanliness drive and Eco-friendly bag campaign at Thyagaraja Nagar on 7 October 2023. Grade XI students from PVM collected garbage near the shops in Thyagaraja Nagar. To insist that “Plastic is out and cloth bags are in!”, students raised awareness in 101 shops and got acknowledgement to use cloth bags from the shopkeepers.  Mr. Senthil, a member of V.M.Chatram Development Trust and Mr. Midhun, a member of the Palluyir Foundation conducted orientation sessions for students, stressing on the importance of eco-friendly bags and also highlighting the significance of sparrow boxes.

This initiative was an eye-opener to lend a hand to save the planet, promote eco-friendliness, create awareness on the need for change and communicate the benefits of using eco-friendly bags. Students gained insights into social and environmental issues through practical experience.
