Special Assembly on Navratri festival
Navratri festival was celebrated by the buds of the kindergarten. The celebration commenced with a prayer song followed by the chanting of mantras. Ms. Vijaya described the special features of Navratri Golu. The children were dressed as Tridevis (Malaimagal, Thirumagal, Kalaimagal) and other gods and goddesses. A Tableau where children decorated the steps, adorning themselves as the Dasavathar of Lord Vishnu, was displayed. The kids along with the teachers performed the Garba dance with Dandiya sticks which they had decorated as part of the art activity.
Navaratri was celebrated by kids of Classes I and II with divine fervour. The event began with invocation and our tiny tots from Class I spoke about Navaratri and Ms. Geetha explained the significance of Golu. Class II kids performed a special dance. The little ones were dressed up as dolls in the golu and enacted a tableau depicting the festival.
Students of Class V performed a fashion walk on ‘Navarathri around India’.
