37th ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION
The 37th Annual Day Celebrations of Pushpalata Schools was observed on the 23rd of July 2022 to commemorate the 100th Birth Anniversary of our Founder Thiru Palai N. Shanmugam. Mr. Vishnu IAS, the District Collector of Tirunelveli was the Chief Guest of the day. Dr. Maragathavalli, the Chairman, Mr. V. Balasubramaniam, the Director and Mrs. Pushpalata Pooranan, the Director and Correspondent, Pushpalata Educational Centre, graced the occasion with their august presence.
Mr. Vishnu IAS, the District Collector of Tirunelveli presided over the 37th Annual Day Celebrations of Pushpalata Schools and addressed the gathering. He insisted on the importance of developing creativity and encouraged the students to realise the best in them, figure out their innate potential and to be good human beings. The meticulous efforts and the remarkable performance of our students in the Board exams were appreciated and the students were honoured with gold and silver medals by the Chief Guest.
The detailed and comprehensive Annual report of academic achievements and school activities was delivered by our Senior Principal, Mrs. Pushpaveni Ayyappan. The energetic and phenomenal compering team added sparkle to the entire show by their spectacular way of hosting the programme. The Yoga Invocation Dance was a charming start for the cultural events as 32 students performed asanas by combining supple movements with music. Leonardo – The Polymath, an original musical with dance and song depicting the lost talent of the famous painter Leonardo DaVinci was staged by 49 students. Krishna Charitam, a legendary epic describing the birth, frolics, erotic indulgences and various adventures of Krishna was staged by 75 students. The Melodious Medley, a magical combination of different songs sung by the Nightingales of Pushpalata was incredible. The transition between the songs was extraordinary. 192 Pushpalatans showcased their vibrant dancing skills by performing different types of dances under the theme ‘Dance through the Ages’. Popular dance forms like Egyptian dance, Moginiattam, Tango, Jazz, Swing, Hip hop were performed. The scintillating performance of the students was indeed a visual treat to the audience. The passionate performers of Pushpalata Schools showcased their theatre skills by enacting the Drama ‘Arivali Gopi’. The voice projection, articulation of words, fluency, and persuasive speech of our performers fascinated the audience.
