The Pushpalatan Management had magnanimously imported a typical hamlet with rural artisans to create an impact upon the Pongal festivity, our customs and traditions towards our young Pushpalatans on 12th and 13th January 2022 virtually. To mark this day as one of the highlighting milestones, the children and the whole team was dressed in ethnic wear and traditional finery. It was a meticulously planned and well-organised celebration. The minor games like uri adhithal, tug-of-war which were practiced in olden days to show case young men’s strength, enthralled the audience.
Kiddos from grades I & II celebrated virtual Pongal in a unique way thanking nature for the bounty it offers through roleplay, dance and villupattu, praising and thanking the farmers for their sacrifice and hard work followed by a speech on Jallikattu. The candid segment of the celebration was the ramp walk of the kids in traditional attire of various states in India. The audience enjoyed every part of the Pongal celebrations with the liveliness of a traditional Pongal.
