38th ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION

The 38^thFounder’s Day of Pushpalata Schools was celebrated with pomp and splendour on 28th July 2023.  Dr. K. P. Karthikeyan IAS, Collector, Tirunelveli, the Chief Guest of the day was escorted by the School Student Council accompanied by the School Band.  He presided over the momentous occasion in the presence of Dr.Maragathavalli, the Chairman, Mr. V. Balasubramaniam, the Director, Mrs. Pushpalata Pooranan, the Director and Correspondent, Pushpalata Educational Centre and the Principals of Pushpalata Schools. 

The academic achievers of Pushpalata VidyaMandir, Pushpalata Matriculation Higher Secondary School, and Pushpalata British International School in Board examinations, proficiency holders and the teaching and non-teaching staff who have completed 10 and 20 years of dedicated service in the institution were felicitated by the Chief Guest.  In his address, the honourable Collector suggested that it is mandatory to learn languages of countries which are known for innovation.  He insisted on developing unique skills and arts to be successful in today’s world. 

A thorough and all-inclusive Annual report comprising the details of the academic achievements and the school activities was delivered by the Senior Principal, Mrs.PushpaveniAyyappan.

The exuberant compering team added vivacity to the entire show by their astonishing way of presenting the events all through the programme.  The gracious performance of the dancers in the Invocation dance brought in the Divine realisation among the performers and the audience. The English Play- ‘Search for Soul’ was a musical drama that incorporated excellent articulation of dialogues, expressive songs, magical music and dazzling dance performances.The Indian Folk fusion dance depicting an array of folk performances from various parts of our country was indeed a tribute to our nations’ rich culture and tradition.Dhasavatharam, a legendary epic depicting the 10 avatars of Lord Vishnu was presented by 33 Pushpalatans. The enthralling episodes showcased their splendid performance.The melodic Composer’s Medley, a vibrant combination of songs composed by the versatile musicians from the past till the present, sung by the vocalists of Pushpalata Schools was indeed mesmerizing.  The audience were invigorated by the breath-taking performance of the singers. 118 Pushpalatans showcased their pulsating dancing skills by depicting the legendary dancers- Boney M, Micheal Jackson, Beyonce, Back Street boys, Rihana, BTS on the theme ‘Dance Icons’.

The talented thespians of Pushpalata Schools exhibited their theatre skills and conveyed a thought-provoking message by enacting the Tamil play- “NaCl”, as a part of Theatre in Education. Their persuasive performance and the vibrant and colourful properties on stage made the spectators spellbound.

The 38th Founder’s Day of Pushpalata Schools, in all its magnificence, was a feast to parents, children and the people in the community.
