We take great pleasure in announcing that a Special Vocational Training Center was inaugurated by the District Collector Mrs. Shilpa Prabakar Satish on the 10^th August 2019 at Mitra School. Mr. Anwar Hussain of Kajah Enterprises and Mrs. E Shanthi Glory Emerald – DDAWO, Tirunelveli District, were the special guests. This Vocational training center consists of 2 main units – The Weaving Unit, Cake Baking (Bakery Unit). The students of Mitra were very enthusiastic and started learning to operate and make products like door mats, towels, scarf stoles etc.
Baking Unit: The Process for making gluten free & casein free muffins & puddings by the students of Mitra
Weaving Unit: The weaving unit comprises of the following processes:

1. Warping
2. Denting
3. Wefting
4. Twisting

Products made by the students included Stoles, Scarf, doormats, lunch towels and tablemats.
