Grade XI students from PVM collected garbage near the shops in Thyagaraja Nagar. To insist that &#8220;Plastic is out and cloth bags are in!&#8221;, students raised awareness in 101 shops and got acknowledgement to use cloth bags from the shopkeepers.&nbsp; Mr. Senthil, a member of V.M.Chatram Development Trust and Mr. Midhun, a member of the Palluyir Foundation conducted orientation sessions for students, stressing on the importance of eco-friendly bags and also highlighting the significance of sparrow boxes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative was an eye-opener to lend a hand to save the planet, promote eco-friendliness, create awareness on the need for change and communicate the benefits of using eco-friendly bags.
