PVM Celebrates Margazhi Utsav with Cultural Splendour!
Margazhi Utsav was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour at PVM, Tirunelveli, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and essence of Tamil Nadu. The Chairman of Pushpalata Educational Centre, Dr. Mrs. Maragathavalli and the Correspondent, Mrs. Pushpalata Pooranan, presided over the occasion.
The weeklong celebration featured competitions including recitation of Tiruppavai, Thiruvembavai and Thiruppalliezhuchi, Rangoli for students and a ‘Wireless, Fireless Cooking Competition’ for parents. Students of Classes VI–IX, XI participated enthusiastically in rangoli, paper-plate flower basket and garland making. The finale was enriched with musical instruments, Bharatanatyam and vibrant solo and group performances including Krishna Bhajan, Hanuman Chalisa, Aigiri Nandini, Ashta Lakshmi Stotram and Tyagaraja Keerthanais.
The Correspondent congratulated and awarded the winners of the pasuram recitation, rangoli and parents’ cooking competitions and the student participants. The event’s effort to promote Tamil culture and heritage was widely appreciated by parents, teachers and students who attended.
