KINDERGARTEN SPORTS DAY AT PVM!

Pushpalata Vidya Mandir’s Kindergarten Sports Day 2025, on the theme ‘Shapes Around Us’, was filled with pride and delight, witnessing the tiny tots transform into confident athletes.  Dr. S. Arumugam, Director – Department of Physical Education and Sports, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, presided over the event, hoisted the school flag, declared the Sports Meet ‘open’, lit the Olympic torch and released the pigeons.  In his address, he advised the parents to encourage their children to play games on the playground and to avoid online games.  The float, displaying the magnificent monuments in different shapes, accompanied by children dressed in creative models, representing different shaped objects, was a visual delight that captured everyone’s attention.
The sporting events and displays that followed were filled with energy and cheer: The Pre-KG Fun Walk was a delightful display of tiny feet marching with joy, spreading smiles, innocence and boundless enthusiasm. The LKG students impressed the audience with their striking performance in Shapes Drill and Sorting of Shapes.  The Human Shape Puzzle, Flat Ring Drill and Kite Dance with lights by the tiny tots of UKG added charm and vibrance with graceful movements.  With simplified rules and small-sided games, Netball and Football matches were conducted for UKG girls and boys.
The atmosphere was charged with excitement, as parents and teachers cheered their tiny champions.  The commentary was filled with encouragement and praise, acknowledging the players’ impressive teamwork.  The Cheerleaders and their encouragement added a spark to the event.  The winners in various track and field events and team games were appreciated and honoured by the chief guest.  This event truly reflected the children’s energy, enthusiasm and collaboration. Though young, they showcased remarkable spirit, passion for sports and commitment to fitness, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present. dance and a powerful, patriotic skit.  The event concluded with the national anthem.
