Pedal to Porunai – Cycle Rally

On 5 June 2022 a Cycle Rally was organised by Tirunelveli District Administration to commemorate World Environment Day.  Pedal to Porunai – Cycle Rally was inaugurated by Tirunelveli District Collector, Mr. V. Vishnu.  About 80 students and 10 staff members of Pushpalata Vidya Mandir enthusiastically cycled from Sulochana Mudaliar Bridge to Town Arch or Kodeeswaran Nagar Petrol Bunk, covering a distance of 2 1/2 to 5 km to spread awareness about keeping the environment clean and preserving Porunai.  Students had an enriching experience by being a part of this community event.
