8th International Day of Yoga celebration
The 8th International Day of Yoga was celebrated with great enthusiasm by 1700 students on 21st June 2022 at Pushpalata Vidya Mandir.
850 students gave a spectacular programme by performing Suryanamaskar and 14 other asanas in our school campus to commemorate International Yoga Day.
At the Government Museum, an iconic spot where the prominent Tamil freedom fighter Oomaidurai was imprisoned, our middle school students demonstrated asanas. The historically significant spot became lively by the performance of our kids.
In addition 12 NCC cadets of PVM energetically participated in the Yogasana performance at Yoga Resource Centre of St. Xavier’s College, Tirunelveli.
Nearly 800 kids of classes I – V demonstrated various asanas like Vajrasana, Mayurasana, Halasana etc. during the special assembly to promote the message that Yoga is an instrument in the collective quest of humanity to advocate sustainable life style in harmony with planet Earth.
