February 28 holds a special place in history, as on this day, India's prominent scientist CV Raman invented the 'Raman Effect,' and he won the Nobel prize for it. Since then, every year, this day is observed to mark the great discovery of Sir CV Raman. This day is celebrated as National Science Day. The students of the Primary Section (Class 1 to Class 5) celebrated this day through various science related activities.
The children performed a Role Play enacting renowned scientists like, Sir C V Raman, Marie Curie and Stephen Hawking. The children also differentiated the water density of ordinary water when compared to Salt Water. They prepared a homemade Hand Sanitizer using Neem Leaves, Aloe Vera and Camphor. The children designed Posters
and displayed them virtually.
The National Science day was indeed very interesting and the children participated in
various science related activities very enthusiastically.
