On August 15, 2024, our school celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great pride and enthusiasm. The event commenced with a prayer song and a welcoming speech. Mr. D. Tito Prabakaran, ex-senior non-commissioned officer of the Indian Air Force, honoured us by unfurling the national flag and sharing inspirational messages about national pride and its enduring legacy. The students participated with enthusiasm, delivering dynamic patriotic songs, motivational speeches, and captivating dance performances that celebrated the rich cultural diversity and different interpretations of freedom. A powerful role play by students from classes 9 and 11 highlighted the struggles of Indian freedom fighters, with one performance focusing on Peer Ali Khan and another on the Tamil queen Velu Nachiyar. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem, leaving a lasting sense of patriotism in everyone’s hearts. Our little artists truly dazzled us with their creativity, illustrating the Indian National Flag and Tricolour tree as beautiful works of art. Their vibrant expressions made this Independence Day even more memorable, marking it with a perfect blend of respect and festivity. The celebration, featuring tributes to our unsung heroes, a dynamic dance, a moving patriotic song, and a mesmerising Silambam performance, beautifully highlighted our rich heritage and unity. Cheers to our incredible nation and a joyful Independence Day!
