Quality Children Education
Pushpalata Matriculation Higher Secondary School was founded in the year 1986-87 by eminent lawyer Sri. Palai N. Shanmugam, with an aim to provide disciplined and challenging environment for the children to learn and explore to give leadership training and to make students secure distinction in Board Examinations. The school provides them with various opportunities to learn and develop various skills and enlarge their interest and bring out their latent talents in various fields..
The school aims at building up the character and individuality of the students so that they will turn out smart. We look after the physical, emotional and educational need and development of the children. They feel homely, healthy, and happy inside our lovely campus. Our school provides the children an atmosphere to study, play, and interact positively.

Extra-curricular activities are the focal point for cultural activities. We allot classes, twice a week during the school hours from class III – IX. Karnatic Music, Bharathanatyam, Folk dance, western dance, veena, keyboard, painting, chess, karate, skating, Judo, Taekwondo are being taught to the students of their choice.
The multimedia session is planned every academic year by the teachers to correlate with the regular stream of curriculum. The multimedia room boasts of a wide collection of CD ROM’S related to all subjects like Maths, Science, Social, Classic rhymes, etc. for all ages.
School provides van facilities; 13 school vans ply to pick and drop the children from areas within a radius of 20km.
Rapid changes and innovations are happening in the field of education. Our tie up with Educomp and HCL provides interactive and interesting learning materials for the students to grasp the lessons.
We conduct assemblies for Primary and High school levels thrice a week. Each section of the class will be given an opportunity to present the assembly with variety of programmes, news, quiz, riddles, scientific facts, skits, dance, vocal music, instrumental music, which paves ways for each child to exhibit its individual talents.
I – V follows Matriculation Board and VI – IX follows the Samacheer pattern of education, introduced by Tamil Nadu government in which evaluation is based on (CCE) continuous and comprehensive evaluation which facilitates the students with projects and group discussions. The Formative assessment scores are recorded as grades in the report card, instead of marks. This pattern helps in classifying the positive attitudes of the children.
A Separate swimming pools for kids (Classes I – II) and children from Class III – IX, well maintained in our campus. Students are offered regular swimming classes during the school hours and special coaching classes between 04.30 and 05.30pm.

Our school is a recognized Matriculation Higher Secondary School. We follow the Matriculation Pattern syllabus from Std. I to Std. V and State Board syllabus for High School and Higher Secondary. Montessori and play way methods are followed in kinder-garten classes. Sensory learning and learning by doing are encouraged in all the classes. Our children learn the three languages; English, Hindi and Tamil.
We want our children to have good physique and sound mind. So learning and training in various games and sports are given due recognition in our curriculum. Our school provides a stimulating and conductive environment for our children to view their horizons.
