“A man’s true wealth is the good he does in this world.”
On August 19, 2024, in honour of World Humanitarian Day, the Bharat Scouts
and Guides, along with the Junior Red Cross of PMS, paid a visit to Palai
Florence Swainson Deaf School. During their visit, they participated in a talent
exchange programme where they taught the children how to create beautiful
flowers, rockets, and cameras using coloured paper, all through sign language.
They also inspired the students by engaging them in fun games such as the
parachute game and the passing ball race. The children were provided with
snacks and drinks, and they participated with great interest and enthusiasm.
Class 6–8 children of PMS showcased their understanding of humanitarian
efforts through drawings, logo design, and essays that emphasized the
importance of empathy and collective action for global causes.
