ADITYA – L1 – SOLAR MISSION
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) made history with the launch of its first-ever solar mission, Aditya-L1, on Saturday 2nd September 2023. The launch took place at 11:50 AM IST from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
The live telecast was witnessed by the students of Class VIII. They were truly excited during the countdown and started clapping once the Aditya-L1 took-off. This spacecraft carries seven payloads and this mission aims to study the Sun's Corona, Chromosphere, and Photosphere
