Pushpalata Schools celebrated the 77th Independence Day on the 15th August 2023 at the school premises. Dr. D. Abiya Chelliah graced this auspicious occasion as the Chief Guest. He is an Assistant Professor and Editor and is currently working at St. John’s College, Palayamkottai.
The National Flag was hoisted by the chief guest and in his address he rightly mentioned that the responsibility of making our country a great nation lies on shoulders of the youth of this country. His speech was inspiring and motivating indeed.
Also present were Mr. Harrison Jebakumar, Principal of PMHS, teaching and non-teaching staff and students.
Various Cultural Programs were organized in which the students performed with great enthusiasm.
The 77th Independence Day Celebration was truly spectacular and memorable! Various classroom activities were conducted for the children. For the students of classes 1–5, drew and coloured national emblems, worked up a scrapbook about "National Symbols" and created tricolour crafts. They participated enthusiastically, and the kids' hearts were filled with patriotism. With great pride and patriotism the children from class 6-8 celebrated Independence Day by designing our National Flag with pulses, origami modelling and made Rangoli with tri colours.
