PBIS came alive with enthusiasm, energy, and a vibrant spirit on 1 February 2025 as the
school celebrated its much-awaited Annual Sports Meet. The entire campus echoed with
cheers and excitement, making it a day to remember.
This year, we had the privilege of hosting Mr. N. Silambarasan, IPS, Superintendent of
Police, as our Chief Guest, and Dr. C. Durai, Assistant Professor, Department of Physical
Education, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, as our Guest of Honour. The Chief
Guest delivered an address highlighting the significance of outdoor sports in promoting a
stress-free lifestyle, while also discussing the negative impact of mobile phone. The event
was organized under the guidance of our Correspondent, Mrs. Pushpalata Pooranan, and
our Principal, Mr. Godwin S. Lamuel.
The grand event commenced with the welcome of the Chief Guest, followed by the
unfurling of the school flag and the declaration of the meet open. The ceremonial lighting
of the sports torch further marked the spirit of sportsmanship. A meticulously synchronized
march past by our PBISians set a striking tone for the day, displaying discipline and
teamwork.
The highlight of the event was the spectacular field displays, all in alignment with this
year\u2019s theme, \u2018Shine Forth\u2019. The performances were nothing short of mesmerizing, as
students showcased a series of dazzling drills enhanced with LED effects. The audience was
captivated by the Tambourine Drill, the rhythmic Stick Drill, the elegant Maypole Dance,
the powerful Karate demonstration, and the serene yet dynamic Yoga performance. Each
drill embodied the essence of strength, coordination, and artistic brilliance, leaving the
spectators in awe.
The day was filled with thrilling Futsal and Handball matches. The energy on the field was
electrifying, with enthusiastic cheers from the audience adding to the excitement of the live
matches. The sportsmanship and competitive spirit on display were truly commendable.
The Annual Sports Meet 2025 concluded on a high note with the National Anthem, leaving
