“A Vibrant Tribute to “Chromatic Leaves”
On July 6, 2024, the Kindergarten students of Pushpalata British
International School (PBIS) celebrated the annual Kinderchromes event with
the theme “Chromatic Leaves.” The occasion was graced by the esteemed
presence of our correspondent, Mrs. Pushpalata Pooranan, as well as our
Principal and Vice Principal. The enthusiastic participation of the parents of the
kindergarten students made the event truly memorable.
The young students engaged in a plethora of artistic and educational activities,
displaying remarkable creativity and curiosity. They designed various creatures’
faces, traced and shaded their names with dried leaves, and took part in
decision-making exercises that included sorting different types of leaves,
exploring leaf symmetry, and identifying leaves by their aroma.
Public speaking activities were a highlight of the event, featuring dramatic
presentations on the medicinal values of leaves, Show and Tell sessions, a
fascinating chromatography experiment, and detailed descriptions of various
aspects of leaves. These activities not only enhanced the children’s knowledge
but also boosted their confidence and communication skills.
The unwavering support and encouragement from teachers and parents
played a pivotal role in the success of the event. Parents expressed their
profound satisfaction with the school’s dedication to fostering creativity and
enthusiasm in their children. The event was a testament to PBIS’s ongoing
efforts to provide a stimulating and supportive learning environment for its
students.
