Kinderlympics – 01.12.2022 to 03.12.2022

PBIS conducted its first ever Kinderlympics, three days of sporting celebration
for the kindergarten, from December 1 to 3, 2022.
The first day begun with an inaugural ceremony presided by the senior
principal of Pushpalata Schools Mrs. Pushpaveni Ayyappan and the
correspondent Mrs. Pushpalatha Pooranan.  Students of PBIS Kindergarten put
up a fantabulous display in the flag hoisting, March past, torch relay, and oath
followed by the commencing of Kinderlympics open by the chief guest. Later
four pumped-up, nail biting games with the kiddies displaying their sporting
spirit enthralled the audience.
The second day followed with more exciting team games, and lots of cheer by
both parents and seniors PBISians who were invited to watch scheduled games
of their choices. Games stared with the traditional team handshake with the
chief guest and opponent teams, and the coin toss to choose sides. The
spontaneous running commentary by the UKG students took the parents by
awe.
The final day of festivity was felicitated by pediatrist and neonatologist Dr. Ajay
Prakash who spoke on how important it is for parents to spend time with
children for the development of the SQ and EQ, the social and emotional
quotient. Throwball Tennis finals between the best teams of both Houses stole
the show with their sporting spirit, a proof of loyalty towards their teams. The
children also showcased their rhythmic moves in a multi-prop drill. The medal
ceremony, the last but the most awaited part brought a beautiful and fulfilling
closure, the flag of the winning team Amethyst taking lead above the mast as
the school choir proudly sang the winning house anthem. The PBIS
kindergarten bid the kinderlympics goodbye for the year with smiles on their
faces, medals round their neck, a tiny shield of appreciation and some with
also trophies of becoming the gems of their respective teams and even gems
of the series.
The PBIS Kinderlympics started in style and ended in awe leaving everyone at
PBIS with a greater expectation for the years to follow.
