Our school proudly celebrated the 77 th Independence Day on August 15, 2023 at the school campus. It started with a synchronous March Past by Grade 7 and 8 students led by the School Deputy President – Sivaranjani of Grade 11, who invited the Chief Guest for the day – Dr. M S Selva Kumaran, a renowned Interventional Cardiologist and Professor of Cardiology at the Tirunelveli Medical College – to hoist the tricolor. This was followed by the Flag anthem and the National anthem. Then, we had a line-up of cultural events at the Nalanda Hall. The Welcome Address was given by Ghani of Grade 9. Students performed dance, mime, and songs that depicted and instilled a strong sense of patriotism in us. Our Chief Guest motivated the students to be responsible citizens who must uphold the unity and sovereignty of this great nation. The celebration ended with the Vote of Thanks by Amizhthini of Grade 9.
