Learning Tools and Strategies
Early Years at PBIS is a unique world with its unique set of learning tools and strategies that ready the tots for formal education in an entertaining way. Just a stroll down the KG arcades will invite you to a colourful array of activities.
Language Skills
Building language skills is paramount at Early Years. The music, story and song led phonic classes develop the reading ability of our kindergarteners right from the PreKG.
Exploration and Dramatisation
Puppetry, Story Building, and Show and Tell allow our kindergarteners to explore the world of interaction and public speaking. Our students become confident speakers very early on.
Research Skills
It is always a treat to watch our kiddies carry out research in their own Little-Big-Shot ways to explore the world around them for Science, Math and Global Perspectives.
Life Skills
The Montessori classes enrich our tots with life skills. The manipulatives show them how Numeracy and Literacy are anything but abstract; Practical skills to use every day; Sensory skills to experience the rich world around and Cultural skills for interdependence.
Motor Skills
The gross and fine motor skills of our kindergarteners are traced and tapped at the playpen, sensory garden and art room, supplementing their learning necessities.
Freeplay
The weekly Freeplay, on the other hand, completes their learning with social skills such as collaboration, interdependence, tolerance and conflict resolution.
Kiddies Time
PBIS Early Years also conducts a miniature prototype of the senior’s assemblies with their own leads, singers and creative artists, enthusing the kiddies once a fortnight
