PBIS proudly celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great patriotic fervour and joy on the campus.
Under the guidance of our beloved Correspondent, Mrs. Pushpalata Pooranan, and the leadership of our
respected Principal, Mr. Godwin S. Lamuel, the event unfolded with a spirit of unity and pride.
The programme commenced with an inspiring prayer song, setting a solemn and respectful tone for the
morning. This was followed by a heartfelt welcome address delivered by Farhan, who reminded everyone
of the significance of the day.
The highlight of the celebration was the flag hoisting ceremony, where our Chief Guest, Mrs. Juliet Kavitha, B.Sc., B.Ed., MCA, M.Phil., M.E., Head of the Department of Computer Science, unfurled the national flag. This was followed by the flag salute and the singing of the National Anthem, echoing the values of freedom and togetherness.
Our Vice President, Roshini, delivered an inspiring student speech. The programme concluded with a vote
of thanks by Darshana, our Sunstone Captain, who expressed gratitude to our Principal, Vice Principal,
President, Vice President, House Captains, and teachers for making the celebration meaningful and
successful.
The celebration served as a reminder of our shared heritage, unity, and the collective duty we hold towards building a brighter future for our nation.
